History of the "Inclusiv EU" Association
A story about courage, transformation, and the right to be part of society.
The public association “Inclusiv EU” was founded on May 8, 2024, and officially registered on May 29, 2024, in the Republic of Moldova, out of the deep desire of its founder—a person with severe mobility impairment—to radically change the way society understands and treats disability.
This initiative did not start from ambitious office plans, but from a personal turning point. The disability appeared suddenly, unexpectedly, and was difficult to explain. At that moment, life changed completely. But instead of accepting marginalization, the founder chose a new direction: to become an active part of the solution, to regain his place in society, and to actively contribute to creating an inclusive environment for all.
“Life doesn’t end with disability—it just gets more interesting. I realized it was time to take action, to get involved in everything related to the rights of people with disabilities, accessibility, and dignity.”
Grigore Bodarev
Why we exist and what we aim to achieve
- Combaterea discriminării și promovarea egalității de șanse în educație, muncă și acces la servicii;
- Creșterea gradului de conștientizare în rândul publicului și autorităților;
- Dezvoltarea de politici publice echitabile și adaptate realității;
- Facilitarea accesibilității reale, nu doar în teorie, ci în viața de zi cu zi;
- Oferirea de suport emoțional și informativ pentru persoanele cu dizabilități și familiile acestora.
What inspires us
We are inspired by stories of perseverance, courage, and resilience. We are deeply moved by the need to create a safe, accessible, and dignified space for all those who have too often been excluded. We believe that only through collaboration, active empathy, and social innovation can we build a society in which disability is not a condemnation, but a natural part of human diversity.
Our vision
We want Moldova to become a model of good practice in inclusion, where:
- Every person with a disability is heard and supported;
- Social services are functional and adapted to reality;
- Public spaces, schools, and workplaces are accessible to all;
- The community is actively involved, with respect and solidarity.
